Recruitment Committee

The Recruitment Committee serves as a starting point for Information Technology (IT) students with disabilities who are interested in AbilITy Connection. Committee members include IT and Human Resources management from several local employers plus respresentatives from DVR and MATC. The committee:

  • Creates awareness for the program through informational forums and presentations.
  • Develops partnerships with area technical schools, colleges and rehab organizations to strengthen our connection with students with disabilities.
  • Works with the State of Wisconsin Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to identify and recruit students who would be candidates for our program.
  • Interviews prospective candidates to make sure there's a good fit between the students who apply and the mentoring/support services that we offer.
