Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee works to increase awareness of and participation in AbilITy Connection by students and professionals. Key target audiences include:

  • High school and college students with disabilities who can benefit from participation in the program
  • Teachers and counselors who can help connect students to the program
  • Professionals from Information Technology (IT), Human Resources and other fields who can serve as mentors or volunteer in other ways
  • Businesses that are able to offer internships, job placement opportunities and tours of their Information Systems (IS) departments

The committee oversees the web site, solicits coverage from area news media and assists with promotion of special events. In addition, the group helps other AbilITy Connection committees with their communications to encourage participation by students and professionals and to obtain financial support.
